About Me

I am currently an Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) at Department of Mathematics of the University of Hawaii Manoa.

Before that I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Laboratorie de Mathematiques, Universite Blaise Pascal (funded through the ANR Project SingStar) and before that I was an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at the Mathematisches Institut, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. I completed my PhD at the University of Victoria in 2010. My PhD supervisor was Heath Emerson and my thesis is entitled Geometric K-homology with coefficients.

Research Interests

  • Dynamical systems (in particular, Smale spaces)
  • Index theory (in particular, geometric K-homology)
  • Secondary invariants (e.g., the eta-invariant)
  • Noncommutative geometry and operator algebras
