Math 253 Exam 2 Fall 2023

Exam will be Friday, October 20

1. The exam is not open book, but you are permitted to use one side of one 8x11 sheet of paper as a crib sheet with whatever you want on it: formulas, worked examples, daily affirmations, whatever you want to put on your sheet.
2. No calculators.
3. I will provide a table of integrals.

Exam Coverage:

13.1-4 and 14.1-6 in the text

Also 14.7, there will be a problem where you will be asked to maximize or minimize a function on a closed region.

If you've done the HW there shouldn't be any surprises here, as I'm not going to try to be too creative with the exam.

The exam will be roughtly 50% from Ch. 13, 50% from Ch. 14.

I'm afraid that it will probably be tougher than the last exam, if for no other reason then because it covers more material.
